We are the Premier Customizers of your Health
We provide Compounded Prescriptions and Natural Supplements to keep you healthy.
Founded by John Sowinski, Custom Health Pharmacy was born because of John’s personal goal to be a business owner. It needed to be the right business though. As a pharmacist he knew that traditional medicine was missing certain therapies and compounded specialized medication fit that role. We opened in Manitowoc in 2007. After 7 years it was apparent that we needed to expand so we then opened our pharmacy doors in Green Bay.
Company History
Who we Are!
Compounding Medicines & Integrative Health
1.) When needed medications are discontinued by or generally unavailable from pharmaceutical companies
2.) When the patient is allergic to certain preservatives, dyes, binders, gluten, dairy, etc. in available medications
3.) When treatment requires tailored dosage strengths for patients with unique needs (for example, an infant)
4.) When the patient or animal cannot ingest the medication in its commercially available form and a pharmacist can easily adjust the medication to a cream, liquid, troche, or other form that can easily be taken.
Compounding pharmacies can bridge the gap for treating patients with
specific needs including utilizing flavorings, special dosage forms, innovative delivery methods, and more.
The use of integrative approaches to health and wellness has grown within care settings and is trending across the United States. Integrative health (or complementary medicine) is a comprehensive, holistic approach to care and wellbeing. It brings conventional and complementary health care approaches together in unison to treat patients as a whole in mind, body, and spirit. The focus of care is on whole body systems (vs. silo or single organ systems) and makes use of all appropriate therapeutic approaches, interprofessional healthcare teams and professions, and is informed by evidence to promote long-term healing and wellness. Integrative health services may be used in addition to or in place of current health care when appropriate.
At Custom Health Pharmacy we incorporate integrative health services to help you meet all of your health needs. Many conventional medical doctors are not trained to provide this type of care. Thus, you may feel frustrated spinning your wheels trying to get answers to things such as chronic fatigue, gut issues, mood changes, sleeping difficulties, thyroid symptoms, hormone imbalances, etc. Often it’s not their fault, they just simply don’t know what they don’t know. Our trained professionals decided it was time to bridge the gap in healthcare and focus on understanding root cause symptoms to address health concerns. We demonstrate compassion and empathy by taking dedicated time to listen and dig deeper into understanding your symptoms. Our focus is getting you on track to feeling healthy and vibrant again while minimizing or eliminating unnecessary side effects from treatment modalities.
Compounding is the long-established tradition in pharmacy practice that enables physicians to prescribe medicines that need to be specially prepared by pharmacists for patients or animals to meet individual needs. Compounded medicines are a vital component of quality medical care. A growing number of patients have unique health needs that off-the-shelf or manufactured prescription medicines cannot meet. For them, customized, compounded medications prescribed or ordered by licensed physicians and safely prepared by compounding pharmacy staff are the only way to better health. Pharmacists are the only health care professionals that have studied medicine compatibility and can prepare these alternate forms.
